RE: ECU from Guhls/Dyno ready - SportsterDoc - 11-24-2018 I did bump the top speed a few times...not really the smartest thing to do...even on an empty remote highway. I got blown over a full lane on the extraterrestrial highway in 2013 on my Bonneville at about 112 MPH. Wind was calm...then a sudden gust. Bottom line for me was the the stock ECU was just fine and fueling superb. If I am viewing it right, alotta low end power is being traded for top-end in the 7500 RPM range? If so, just as well buy a (*bleck*) Suzuki sport bike or sumthin'. I think you’re misreading the chart. More power across the whole rev range, very little improvement at low rpm. About 2-3 hp gain in the middle/top end. That’s a good idea. I got it for 160 bucks bucks . ECU from Guhls/Dyno ready - dsan1964_imp - 05-11-2019 Well I finally swapped out the ECU! There’s definitely a difference. Rolled 3rd gear to 100 4th to 110 5th to 120. And backed off. It has a snappier throttle. I am happy. The tank removal was I bit of a pain. The quick connect gas line. But it went back together pretty easy. The cradle for the ECU plastic hole snapped and cracked . I don’t think there will be any issues. Full wash today also. The battery is on the way out had to bump start it at the gas station. 2014. 5 years out of the battery. I have had it 4 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
