This is a rehash of a contribution I made a while ago regarding seats, a mate rides a Bonneville and he gives the AIrhawk a good rap. He retired from work last month and he only rides for short distances these days and thats cool aching bones age eyesight and that kind of stuff catches up with us all eventually.
He has told me that when he was a young bloke 40 years ago he does not recall thinking about bike seat comfort.
He puts it down to having his mind on other things.
He had a job in Brisbane and his folks lived in Tassie back when you crossed the Strait on the Empress of Australia and he did the trip on his bike more than once. Back then air travel ( as a side not at least he would not have needed to take his shoes of before flying back then) within Australia was big dollars and out of reach for a bloke swinging spanners.
Personally just suck it up and add to what it is to ride a bike, when the Sun is shining on a hot day I don't long for the Utes AC.
When it rains I eventually get wet, I know some blokes do not ride in the rain or when the conditions are just not so and that's fine by me.
Hope you find the seat your searching for.
Feel good about it, doing your bit to stimulate the word economy.
Another ride in a pea soup fog this morning and not a Wombat in sight only one more week till midwinter.
Regards
