They have a similar 16 Bonnie only with a few more miles and factory cruise control at my local Yamaha dealer. They are asking $8300 for it, but told me they would take $ 7500 for it.

I'm sure I didn't make the best deal recently. I had pulled into the local BMW dealer's lot, intending to buy oil and filter for my old 1991 R100GS, and parked right in front of me was a 2016 Triumph T120. It was a trade in, with slightly more than 1600 miles on the odometer. I'd previously owned a nice 2003 T100 that I'd ridden for nearly 50,000 miles, and this newer Bonnie gobsmacked me! So I traded my 2014 CB1100 (black.)

I got the T120 out the door in exchange for my CB1100 and $4000. That included doc fees and Ohio sales tax (over 6%.)

I didn't feel like going thru the back and forth of dealing with the dealer, and decided this was an ok trade. I love Triumph twins! But I'll miss my CB, I'm sure.

Let's put aside the price and concentrate on these two bikes only:
which one you prefer better, CB or T120, just curiosity.

Almost considered a T120, but will I am happily continuing with the CB1100. The CB moves nicely. The T120 sounds great. Both look fantastic.
I see two problems with the T120, water cooled (however very cleverly hidden rad), and 270 crank. Other than that it ticks all the boxes. I still wouldn't trade my T100 in for one.

Thanks for the offer! I live near the triad & you are referring to the two in Winston Salem? Been watching those all summer, and the one for $6200 is the reason I posted the question. Yesterdays Cycle Trader postings had four for $4500! Yeah, condition/etc. is next to do research on and I appreciate all the good advice.

But I'm a busy gray-hair, have plenty of patience, hate to shop & haggle (tho I'm REALLY looking forward to this bike.) Son-in-law is also a long time rider, has friend who recently drove to KY to buy a quad because local dealer wouldn't budge. He saved couple thousand+.

I just don't want to waste time if Honda of W/S is one of those. So I get it, I'll have to make a trip there & ask some questions. That's OK, I'll do it at some point. $4500 (one of them OBO) is pretty compelling tho.

The last few hundred dollars is not that important if it is the right bike in the right place.
Yeah, one is the WS one. I saw it in person a month or so ago. It's in good shape with a few add-ons but it is overpriced. I saw a black 14 somewhere the other day in my daily perusing of the sale sights. I'll keep my eye open.

I live in G-Boro BTW
I just did my 2nd daily peruse of the ads. I have finally found a way into FB Marketplace without an acct and looked through their listings. Several showed up (not all in NC) and most were 13's. Not a one under $5k. Most in the mid 5's. Perhaps they really are gaining value as collectors items (bwahahaha, I just had to say it). There was a 13 with 2 miles on it listed for $8995. What was it P.T. Barnum said? Dodgy
