Hello everyone,

I have a few questions regarding the Road Comet Windshield.

Does anyone have photos showing the difference between the Road Comet 1 and 2?

Does anyone have photos showing how the fairing is secured to the bike?

Has anyone tried the 40mm higher screen?

Thanks, Mike
I have the comet 2 on my 14 deluxe. Not with taller screen. There is a post in here some where showing both pics to compare someone will read this and post that pic. It mounts to the headlight bucket on each side the kit comes with new screws and one L shape bracket at bottom mounts to horn bracket very easy to mount. Is your bike a 13 or 14?

New headlight mounting bolts replace stock mounting bolts.

Others can chime in on 2014 road comet and on touring shield.

Thanks for the pics. Now I see the difference between the RC1 and RC2. Still would like to see the taller screen if someone here has it. I'm going out to a dealer in NJ to see the bike. I ride a 1983 Suzuki GS850G with 76K. I'm ready for a new bike and this is the only one that interests me. Before I buy the bike I want to make sure that it will have a nice fairing available. Do you know what size headlight the bike has? I ask because I'm wondering if the Rifle from my 850 would fit.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Rifle fit the CB. They were pretty "universal fit" as I recall. I'd definitely give it a try before ordering the Comet.

Pretty sure it's a 9" headlight.
A bit off topic. . .Is there any handle bar vibration between 4.000-6.000 rpm in any gear as reported by MCNews "New Bikes"?

I called a dealer who was nice enough to measure the headlight for me. He said it measured 7". The Rifle has inserts up to 8".
I just measured mine and from the bottom of the chrome ring to the top of the ring-- it measured right at 7 5/8.

Your 850 is really a nice looking bike! And I've never seen a fairing like that. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! Here is the link to the Rifle site showing this fairing. . .http://rifle.com/Motorcycle-Fairings/Rifle-Superbike-Fairing.aspx
They are looking into the fit for the CB1100 and they will be getting back to me.
Here is the Chic Design Road Comet II with Aero screen:

Whilst I was very pleased with both the quality and ease of fitting, I was not happy with the way it bounced around at anything over 60mph (the very speeds I bought it for! )

I was trying to work out how to make a couple of additional support brackets when I found an easy solution on this forum:

Just super glue to join two bits of foam tape together to get the thickness and then squeezing it in between the screen and the speedo/Rev counter. It is now brilliant and has transformed what was a tiring 70mph ride (that I regularly do) into a pleasure.

Cheers
