Dengie boy I took the black strip that goes on top of the stock shield and put it around the headlight hole ( I really thought it went there) but mine fits very snug and has no glow back from the headlight. I do like your touring shield looks great. I'm going to get a white comet 2 for my white bike and get a shield like yours. Looks like it will block more wind also

Whilst I was very pleased with both the quality and ease of fitting, I was not happy with the way it bounced around at anything over 60mph (the very speeds I bought it for! )

I was trying to work out how to make a couple of additional support brackets when I found an easy solution on this forum:

Just super glue to join two bits of foam tape together to get the thickness and then squeezing it in between the screen and the speedo/Rev counter. It is now brilliant and has transformed what was a tiring 70mph ride (that I regularly do) into a pleasure.

Cheers

isnt that a Road Comet I?
Yes. The RCII is more angular. check this for a pic of both side by side: http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread....ad+comet+1
