Anybody use OEM Honda top box? Will it fit on Givi rack. How does it mount? I'm thinking I like it. Currently have Givi rear rack mounted.

I have the oem top box. It required an adapter plate to mount on the oem rear rack. So make sure you order the adapter mounting plate as it is it’s own part number. Whether it will mount to the givi rack without modification I have no idea. The adapter was plastic so any mod would likely need to be done to the givi rack.

Hey CHYNC: Do the 4 holes on the Honda rack fit the plastic piece you're talking about & what's more do you like the top box? Is your tank red & if so, do the colors match?

I have the Honda box, but on a Honda rack.

The plastic mounting adapter plate is what attaches to the rack and yes the mounting holes match the Honda oem rack. The adapter plate allows the top box to be easily removed using the top box latch without having any other mechanical fasteners.

I bought the black/silver box when I had the stock black gas tank on the bike and I thought it looked fine. I now have a red tank but I have no idea how the red box color looks. I’m guessing it’s close enough since it’s from Honda although it’s hard to get a color to appear the same both in plastic and on metal.

It functions well for what it is. I mostly just use it as a backrest for a passenger.

Hey chync: In terms of the silver component, is it some sort of enamel finish or is it integral with the plastic? That is, if you scuff the silver, will black show through?

Probably but I have no scratches to tell.
