Ordered the PR3 for my rear tire. Have had a plug in my rear stock since about 600miles (yeah, I got a flat that quick). Coming up on 4700mi and with the rally in less than two weeks, there's a ton of miles to be had. I basically bought the tire for peace of mind

I'm sure you'll like it specialist.
I'll have my second set installed this week, so the two guys from Chicago will have matching footwear on the ride to Bland.
i have installed not PR3 but NEW Dunlop RoadSmart III .. and im pretty happy with them .. very good grip

Having it installed tomorrow. Looking forward to this upgrade.
Just reloaded with a new set. Unfortunately, will not be able to test them out in VA, but I'm sure they will perform as well as the last set.
A question: why are they referred to as PR3s when their name is Road Pilot 3?
easier to type. I had PR4s, but now have PR4GTs on my ST. That sentence would require a lot of typing if I were spelling it out lol
I had Pilot Road 4s, but now have Pilot Road 4 Grand Tourings on my sport tourer
All the web sites have them listed as Pilot Road. The Michelin site calls them Pilot Road too. So PR3 seems ok to me.

Hmm.. Everyone I know calls them Road Pilots, but I've never looked on the tires or on the website so I guess my question should have been reversed. LOL
Thanks for the info, popgun.
To me Road Pilot would make more sense, but Michelin neglected to ask me.
