I did bump the top speed a few times...not really the smartest thing to do...even on an empty remote highway.

I got blown over a full lane on the extraterrestrial highway in 2013 on my Bonneville at about 112 MPH. Wind was calm...then a sudden gust.

Bottom line for me was the the stock ECU was just fine and fueling superb.

The new profile looks like an ol' late 70's CB or Kawasaki.

Yeah, the stock CB is pretty miserable up at top end and you feel it. But who often sustains 180 km/h?

Maybe this bike needs a "Normal" mode and a "Sport" mode profile switch.

I think you’re misreading the chart. More power across the whole rev range, very little improvement at low rpm. About 2-3 hp gain in the middle/top end.

How much did that run you? That’s a good idea.

A little crisper mid range. Better mileage lol. Race when needed of course!

I dont think anyone on the forum has had that done in awhile. Will be good to hear a fresh report.
Well I finally swapped out the ECU! There’s definitely a difference. Rolled 3rd gear to 100 4th to 110 5th to 120. And backed off. It has a snappier throttle. I am happy. The tank removal was I bit of a pain. The quick connect gas line. But it went back together pretty easy. The cradle for the ECU plastic hole snapped and cracked . I don’t think there will be any issues. Full wash today also. The battery is on the way out had to bump start it at the gas station. 2014. 5 years out of the battery. I have had it 4 years.
