limited highway use
It would seem the only reasons to change the overall gearing of the bike via a sprocket swap is if first gear is too tall, or if sixth has you turning too many revs on the highway. Otherwise, you simply select a higher or lower gear for the given conditions.

If first gear is too tall for you, you'd look for a smaller front sprocket (which is pretty small to begin with--there is probably a minimum recommended number of teeth up front for a 530 chain) or a larger rear one, which may require a longer chain.

I'm sure several owners have done the swap and can chime in.
