OK I understand and I think I can cover this too!
This thing is a gas guzzler now. It was fuel hungry before but now I think the gas gauge swings faster than the tachometer. LOL!
I road it all last summer on a number of rides and it ran beautifully. I trust that Guhl knows what they are doing. It is their job and I think if it was not right others in this group would have said so.
For me I am good. I feel that it is right and am not worried. Also if it was lean the pipe would show this and it is dark and I think it is a little on the rich side.
I have done other bikes and had them tuned professionally and had that one blow up. It was not what they did but what I did... bad gas. The bike could not handle the bad gas I got from the gas station. I stick with gas stations that have the non-ethanol premium fuel. I also make sure to get it from a station that is used regularly. I will never buy from Joe-Somebodies fuel station ever again. LOL!
Now if you are fitting a set of your own velocity stacks then I would surely have it done by a shop. But Guhl has already done the set-up I did so it is just a simple plug and play setup as the work has been already done for us. Now I will add this... they call you and ask what you are wanting from them. They asked me how I ride and what I will do with the bike. For them to ask those questions they have been there and done this... trust them. I did and love it.

Just curious. Why won’t these tuning shops dyno your bikes? Surely they want your money if nothing else? I had a Suzuki 1200 Bandit years ago and put a slip on pipe on it, it was all the rage back then. From memory I think it’s peak rwhp was 102. Anyway, the point being I remember clearly the guy doing it making it very very clear Dyno’s properly stress the bikes, transmission, chains, bearings etc and if something breaks, it’s on ME. That was all before they even wheeled it on and strapped it down. All the published dyno charts for the CB are consistently buttery smooth with a very flat torque curve (got one off the net above) so IMO there’s not really anything negative to tune or dial out. You just want more of it and I get that. The only way to know whether your seat of the pants feeling of extra ‘oomph’ after all these mods is right would be to physically get it done.

Well if a shop did it I think you could call Guhl and ask them. See if they have records for the job.
If they feel they can do better with your input then by all means send it to them. If they tell you the program installed to your ECU was the right one then ride and be happy like me.
Not saying in terms of right or wrong flash per se- but just curious to see what type of treatment already-flashed Guhl's ECU's get over stock ones.
For example, if someone bought a stock CB and the first mod they did was the ECU flash to spec(no additional modifications) and then later changed other parts of the bike, for which maybe slightly different specs would be more optimal. How does that second visit with Don looks like vs. someone who hasn't already dished out the $375 once
I know the core tune is all the same for the most part- speed governor removal, higher RPM's etc.. but the fact that he asks for specific wishes in some areas, might leave room for improvement in some cases, such as bikes that got mods after the fact like in the above example

I remember my mechanic saying "they asked me if you had the full yoshi yet because they could have done more but I told them you were still stock"
It was few years ago now and that mechanic isn't there anymore but I remember kind of an open ended conversation that they could make adjustments to the flash once I did more to the bike.
Its worth an email to Ghuls I just haven't gotten around to it.
