ECU re-flash
Power Commander V
K&N Air filter. (not a "power" mod really)
Yoshimura full exhaust
Race-Tech forks
Ohlins shocks

The re-flash didn't really add power. It raises the rpm by 500 revs and provides power to those last 500, but I don't ride nearly that close to the limit. It also removes the "speed limiter" that tells the bike to throttle down when the ECU detects a specific mph.

The Power Commander was night and day difference! Huge difference. Completely changed the personality of the bike.
Did you have a custom tune or did you use 1 of the 3 maps power commander has on the site? This is the second time I've heard people saying they felt a big difference from the power commander but I did not so im thinking maybe I should try a different map?

I believe the previous person that stated this said they used the "Stock with yoshi slip on" map that was online.

I have almost all the same mods as you minus suspension and exhaust

Thanks for the info.
As far as I know the only intake modification that will change performance is opening the velocity stacks up. Powerdubs and a few others have done it.

I'm in middle of doing it but will have to wait to install it when I get a full exhaust.

The TSR plate that goes on the airbox does indeed make a slight improvement at higher revs- very slight though.

Not the TSR branded piece but same exact thing, just installed one on my CB along with a K&N filter last weekend

Feels great for me personally, there is a bit of an added noise during air intake while on the throttle(which is perfectly fine by me) but it 100% looks like it breathes better than it did with the stock snorkel that pulled air from the rear mudflap, while this is a questionable design-to me- I know the engineers spent thousands of hours getting it right and the bike was designed for the purists and not the hooligans in mind.

I believe Josh(PowerDubs) came up with an alternative where you drill 3 holes on the left side of the air box instead, since he did not exactly like the newfound intake noise of the funnel plate produces vs. stock.

I think whether rain/water is a valid concern for some comes down to and depends on your weather/riding conditions.

I don't ride in the rain much if at all, but as far a I can tell, you should be fine as long as your side cover plate(Right) is properly installed. Rain isn't a big concern for me, but it may be for someone who does cross-country trips with unpredictable weather conditions.

I think I'll be looking into a V-stacks setup as part of my next "performance upgrade"

But I could always just slap the snorkel back on when I know I have a big trip. I usually go through the entire bike and modify a few things for a trip anyways.

I too would consider myself in the hooligan class lol. I bike can be perfect in every way but its not mine until I make a little difference than everyone else's.

3 of my buddies in the group all got Dynas last year and are on my case to get one as its a better "do everything" bike and fits my riding style much better than the CB. But I keep telling them I don't want a bike everybody else has lol.

There is not a chance in he** you are going to get water into your engine and cause any issue...

You would have to have enough water to get into the filter, soak through it, fill the primary air box- find it's way through the connector into the main airbox plenum, up into the velocity stacks...

Heck- I installed a water injection kit onto one of my old cars- and used to fill it with windshield washer fluid and spray it right into my engine- on purpose. Ran great.

As far as I know the only intake modification that will change performance is opening the velocity stacks up. Powerdubs and a few others have done it.

I'm in middle of doing it but will have to wait to install it when I get a full exhaust.

HD's are cute, I suppose. but only ones I'd consider owning is an Ultra Glide or a Sportster 48 XL1200, outside of any classic knuckle/pan/shovel heads. A buddy of mine just picked up a SWEET Indian scout bobber in burnt orange, and I would pick that thing up over the Dyna's any day of the week, but to each their own.

Ran great.
Hahahaha was that that to clean the valves? I've heard of guys using water back in the day like seafoam to clean up the carbon

3 of my buddies in the group all got Dynas last year and are on my case to get one as its a better "do everything" bike and fits my riding style much better than the CB. But I keep telling them I don't want a bike everybody else has lol.

Hey thanks! How does it feel? I know there were some worries about this allowing water into the intake in a hard rain.. thoughts?

I'm shooting some emails out to get quotes to tune the power commander once I drop the velocity stacks in and slap an exhaust on.

I think I'll be looking into a V-stacks setup as part of my next "performance upgrade" Nice I think im gonna a order it then. I like touring so like you said I can't always expect perfect weather when I'm on the road for a week and far from home.

The Indian chieftain darkhorse or challenger would be my pick.

We have a Victory octane in the group (its a performance muscle scout same frame and all) and the ergonomics are way to low to the ground for me. Ironically he got that bike because I was looking for one years ago. Im happy he got it first cause it showed me how uncomfortable it was.

I rode the 2020 scout and scout bobber at NH motorspeedway and they're nice around town bikes but the chieftain blew me away.

The only harley I'm into would be the Dyna Low S with the gold wheels. But for the 18k I could get a chieftain

I've never been convinced drilling holes in your airbox or taking the snorkel off made much or even any difference. This is a good article on that same subject. The stand out comment is "Modern air boxes can flow much more air than the engine will ever use". https://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/Airboxes.html
I have posted this info in other topics like this one... if you want to wake the bike up add the following.
TSR Intake Funnels or Velocity Stacks
TSR Intake Funnel at Air Filter Housing
K&N Air Filter
Full performance Exhaust Yoshimura was my choice
Block the excess air to the Exhaust... so many ways to do this.
Have the ECU Flashed

ENJOY!

I have not had the bike on the dyno but it feels and runs great. I have called a number of shops and none would dyno the bike to prove it.

I got an email back from a shop near me that specializes in tuning turbo charged bikes and they quoted me $320-350 to have it dyno tuned. I used dyno jets website to find dyno shops near me

LOL! Yup used that site too and called 5 shops. After that I thought the heck with it.

To be truthful there is no need to dyno this bike with these mods. The difference is noticeable. In fact it is very noticeable difference it performance. For it to be this apparent there has to be a large power increase. Do I think I got the 20 they claim from it? No I do not think so but it is a heck of a lot funner to ride now.
