That passenger seat looks so chilled-out.
I suppose nobody wants to hear this, but these sissy bars pose a serious risk to pilot’s and co’s health in case of a crash or drop. How serious ? very much so !
By that argument- so does saddlebags.

Would you agree that anything added below an imaginary line from
the handle bar to the rear light will change the riders’ risk very little, if
at all, and anything added above that line could make a serious difference,
or would you rather have me explain this ?

... (dang). There goes the flip-over crash bar theory.
Riders with oversized sissy-bars don't crash

(click on for details) Pulling this data out of a hat is impressive! And I find the numbers, to say the least, surprising! One can argue about causality and correlation between these mods and accidents, but numbers don't lie - facts are facts.

Having said that, my comment was obviously sarcastic. Or it wasn't that obvious [Image: ba9960c118cc2d7b47260c198ca5b884.png]

I was actually surprised sissy bars made the radar, let alone be statistically something.

The comment mildly caught my curiosity regarding ape hangers and extra raked front suspension. And low and behold, there read sissy bars.
Interesting data chart. Note that the modified exhaust was the mod present on the highest percentage of bikes which crashed.
