Anyone using this oil in the front forks? Decided to get the Race Tech fork springs, and pretty sure I want to use Red Line 5W fork oil.
What not ask Race Teck what they suggest? I just for in an order for them to do my complete suspension. Ive read nothing but goood things about them.

They suggest their $30 per bottle of oil and need 2 of them...not going to happen
Never heard anything negative about Redline.
Red Line produces good oils, used their heavy duty stuff in my former Harley gear box.

You might want to check local dirt bike shops for different fork oils too. They seem to carry more choices since dirt bike guys must fiddle with suspensions a lot more.

I used 5W Honda, SS-7. About $6 a bottle.

Here's my Race Tech fork spring photo essay: http://www.photosbytink.com/cb1100forksprings/

Just as a matter of interest are the Race Tech fork springs equal size for each fork leg or do they copy the Honda system of a shorter spring in one leg with a long spacer?

Race Tech are equal length, 335mm, and linear wound.

If you have a 2014 Deluxe, you will have two different length OEM springs.
If your bike is a 2013 or 2014 Standard both OEM springs are the same length, 335mm.

See my chart for details:
Found Motul synthetic fork oil that is a light/medium weight (7.5-5wt) oil. Been snowing here, so I will probably do the springs in a few weeks.
