As my 2014 and 2017 have the indicator button on the bottom I decided to covert my 2013 to the same set up as it is more natural and safer to have them all the same.
It is a very easy and quick job , 15 to 20 minutes at the most.
I used my air compressor to get the grip of , very quick and no mess.
The ferret has done the same, except in reverse.

Good move.

I did what ferret did.
Just curious, how did you use the air compressor to get the grip off? I've heard people mention that but never knew the technique

Very easy ,use the fine point air needle (the one you use for blowing up footballs etc) put that needle under the grip and blow the air , just go around the grip and it will blow up away from the handle bar.
No need for screw driver and WD 40 and therefor no cleaning afterwards .
If you do not have the fine needle , they come in a set with other parts , very cheap at Walmart.
I just wedge the end of the air nozzle in there clamp my hand around it and shoot the air into it. Never used a needle. Blows it right off.
