I have a ticking noise, when you roll on the throttle in any gear at 1500 rmp to 2500, you can hear a ticking noise. I suspect the valves needs adjusted. Bike only have 1200 miles on it.
Am I correct in thinking the valves need adjusted?
Greg, valves don't call for inspection until the 8,000 mile check. Swing by your dealer and have them take a listen it. Probably nothing, but thats why you have a warranty and they have a service dept...to set your mind at ease.
That linked thread is my thread i started. The noise in the first video sounded normal to me. Granted it was parked for the winter but the warm up sounds normal. Now that bottom end noise in the second video, that is another story.

look back on threads, the ticking noise has been worried about since the beginning, not sure it turned out to eb anything for most people. Dbuster has more than a ticking noise
Hard to tell without a recording of the noise. You can hear the fuel injectors ticking when applying throttle.
Oh yea, your right Guth. Gosh the memory sucks sometimes. Everyone though they were having pre detonation ( pinging under load) from low grade fuel or something, turned out it was fuel injectors ticking.
Good memory, thanks for the reminder.

I have not heard any ticking noises from my bike , the one blessing when your hearing is going !
Air cooled bikes make more noises in general and yeah the super quiet exhaust doesn't help to hide that. Mine does it low down in the rpms too.
