I'm in need of some help with wiring replacement aftermarket turn signals and a taillight. Specifically when it comes to the wire colors. This is for a 2014 standard, btw.

I've been searching this forum and other possible sources most of today looking for some kind of reference guide for this, but come up mostly empty. I have the technical/mechanical ability to connect the wiring, but not the electrical knowledge to be sure I'm putting the correct wires together. I'm also a little apprehensive to continue a trial-and-error process, as I think I might've blown a fuse doing that last night. (An annoying little setback.... but, oh well.)

Anyway, If anyone could please help demystify the color codes of the wiring, I would be eternally grateful!
If your replacement turn signals have incandescent bulbs, it should be relatively easy.
As you are sitting on the bike:
Left front is orange/white
Left rear is an orange
Right front is light blue/white
Right rear is light blue

In each case, ground is green
The fronts incorporate a running light that becomes the brighter flashing turn light.
If your new front turn signal has 3 wires, hook up the brighter light's wire.

Taillight is green with yellow for brake, brown for the taillight, with green as ground again.

If you are going to LED turn signals, start here:

This is exactly what I was looking for; Thank you so much!

Can I ask how you found/know that info? Is there a wiring diagram somewhere, or something in the manual I missed?

And, yeah, they are incandescent. So, hopefully not too troublesome.
The service manual has the wiring diagrams in it. Not the owners manual.
Ahh, I see. I'm pretty sure I have a digital version of that I bought a couple years ago sitting around somewhere...

Thanks
Thumbs Up
As it happens, I am considering moving the rear turn signals back to the end of the topbox mount so I get a pair of soft bags onto the CB. I had a pair on before, but they're so far forward that I have to sit on one of the velcro straps. Not too bad, but....
If you’re good at wiring, Charlie Bravo, it’s not to hard a job. If, like me, you’re not, it’s time consuming and tedious. But worth it.
