I too had my first "good/real" ride today. I was teaching a buddy how to ride on a friends rebel 250. Turned around and looked in the direction of my house and there were dark clouds moving in faaaassssst. Immediately the lesson was over, I hoped on my bike and took off for my house. I had two interstate stretches and I gave it heck. Then a twisty highway that I really tore up. Made it back and pulled the garage down JUST in time for a torrential downpour. Very clutch.

Before I had been trying to figure out optimal rpms and whatnot, but on this sprint I felt completely at one with the bike. Didn't miss a shift and didn't worry about the gauges.

I really like this bike now.
