Yes they do. After buying a bike I check them here at home as soon as I unload it off the trailer. What times I've traded, or were dropped off, and ride the new bike home I bring along a pencil gauge. Actually it's been quite a while since I had to have them add air, generally they're inflated at the tires maximum and after riding some I reduce pressure a bit for riding solo w/o luggage.

I've bought 6 from the local place directly, and been involved in a few other deals. they also don't charge me for setup/prep.

a suggestion i would make when buying new: when they wheel it out, before you sign it, make a tech or salesman test ride it in front of you.

Heh- the bike had 16 miles on it when I picked it up- he said they always give em a good shake down ride before selling. Yea- I'd like to joy ride all the new toys too I suppose.

I will say they did surprise me- when I got home and was looking at the bike in my driveway- I noticed the windshield was clear. In ALL the pictures, magazines, road tests and youtube videos about this model the windshield is dark smoke.

So- thinking maybe they put in a clear screen from the other models of 660- I emailed him asking, and linked to several of the mag tests and youtube videos.

I received a quick response saying they didn't know what happened- the other 2 of these bikes they had in stock were also clear so they would reach out to the factory rep and ask.

A few hours later they wrote back saying that in the U.S. due to DOT regs that all the bikes had to have clear screens even though all the press bikes had smoke- EU spec. BUT- they would order the euro smoke screen for me and I only had to pay shipping!! Which of course I took them up on the offer.

This is the same place I bought my CB from. Maybe next time if I buy a 3rd bike from them, I'll ask about 'in the crate' and see what they say. Tongue

Needless to say it was heavily discounted and they really wanted to sell the thing. He asked about test riding it to see if he liked the DCT before buying. They said their insurance didn't permit test rides but they would bend the rule and let him ride it around the parking area. He donned his helmet while they rolled it out and went over the DCT shifting procedure. He said when he drove it around the thing would barely turn, he had to stop to make a 3-point turn at one point. When the salesman asked how he liked the transmission he said "it is fine but the bike is horrible to ride, could the tire pressure be low"? Salesman yelled for the kid to bring a gauge out and checking the rear tire it it didn't even register. He said get another gauge this one isn't working. A mechanic came out with his gauge and it showed the same, both tires were completely flat! LOL if I were an insurance company I wouldn't want to cover them for test rides either!
After puffing them up he said he took it around the lot again and it handled wonderfully so he bought it and loaded it in his trailer.

Such a simple and necessary thing. I check my tires before I ride if it's been a week or two whether I've ridden or not. It's amazing these dealers don't.

And yes I check my tires as soon as I've gotten home from buying a bike or had tires changed. They're nearly always out of spec. When I bought my concourse I had a 3 hour ride home and I noticed I could feel every bump. I checked the pressures when I got home. The spec is 42 for both front and rear, they were both nearly 50.

Of course tire pressure go up with heat from riding so if you are going to check them check them COLD before riding, or wait 3 or 4 hours until they cool down.

Yes, this was after they had cooled down. Lord knows what they were while I was riding. Undecided
I was considering a well-sorted Suzi adventure bike, but, I want to get a fish/ski boat to teach my Grandsons how to water ski, and I want to get something like a Grom for them, too, so no additional toys for me.
You are good grandpa!!!!

I've been known to swap bikes from time to time and while I'm content with my 2022 VStrom 650 and 2014 CB1100 Deluxe I do follow what the manufacturers introduce and then end up watching Youtube videos from either reviewers or owners on their experiences and there are a pair that I've considered.

2023 GSX-S1000GT Metallic Triton Blue
2023 Honda Rebel 1100T DCT Bordeaux Red Metallic

Thanks, PB!! We moved from CA to TX to be close to them.
Honda for life here, having worked for them for 15 years (I wish I never left them). Cut me open and I would have Wings and H blood cells. Honda is an engineering firm first then and the three joys are embedded into its physic. I am a bit of a honda collector of Power Equipment, Lawn care, Outboard motors, Bike and Cars and I can't afford the wings, that the Jet plane. Smile
Currently riding a 2020 HD FXLR (my touring bike) plus my 2014 CB1100. Keeping the CB for around town bike.
Currently nothing in HD's line-up excites me much, we'll see what they come up with a few yrs from now.
