Do you wear "all the gear, all the time"?

That doesn't look too bad. Importantly, how's the bike? . Or is that an exhaust singe?

Always armoured jacket gauntlet gloves and heavy boots (not always riding boots, but something that covers the ankles). Sometimes jeans in city. For rides involving actual distance or high speed rides ATGATT.

I am a pretty solid follower of ATGATT.

Helmet, gloves, long pants 100% no exception.

Jacket and boots 99%.

There is the rare exception I run down the street in my neighborhood without my jacket. Last time I did that, I didn't like having my t-shirt flopping in the wind. Same goes for boots. I never wear athletic shoes because the shifter hurts the top of my foot, but last time I had my hikers on I nearly dumped my bike when my shoe lace got caught on the shifter. I had come to a stop already and had to think quick to shift my weight and get my right foot to the ground. Riding in laced shoes has pretty much been eliminated since then.

I have a pair of armored jeans and some ankle high riding boots I wear on shorter rides or when I'm going to walk around some off the bike.

I think the point Immgun is making is that ATGATT is the key to survival. ATGATT threads can exceed even oil threads for entertainment value. Yeh baby, bring it on! My position? Of little interest I guess but, apart from a couple of sport bike riders, during my brief sojourn to the States I didn't see many riders wearing full leathers, as I do on most occasions. Certainly not amongst the CB set.

However I'm just about to ride down to my local beach. Shorts and T will be the kit for that.

the only piece of gear I don't always wear is the jacket. Sometimes it's just too hot, especially if I have my backpack on with all my work stuff.

Gloves, boots, some kind of jacket, full face helmet: 100% of the time.

A full face helmet saved my life 10 years ago when a van going the opposite direction decided to pull a left in front of me.... classic T-bone wreck.
I still have the helmet with the van paint smashed across the front of it.
I spent almost 6 months in rehabilitation and a lawsuit that I eventually won.

I also saw what a no glove dump slide can do to one's hands. Along the helmet and boots, I never, ever ride without gloves.

Helmet, gloves, jacket (leather, mesh, textile depending on weather), long pants. Air Jordan high tops in hot weather and leather boots other times. Freeways necessitate leather chaps.

I'm always wearing a full face helmet, a jacket (a leather jacket most of the year and a mesh jacket at the height of summer). I used to ride in jeans much of the time, but after buying a pair of textile overpants I'll now always wear those if I'm not using the leather pants I own. I'm also never without boots and gloves. To top it off, I've got a hi-viz vest that I always wear, unless I'm sporting my mesh jacket which already incorporate hi-viz panels.

This is what works for me. What others choose to wear, or not, is totally up to them.
