Full Version: Anyone hollowed out stock catalytic converter?

Wondering if anyone here has gutted the stock cat on these bikes. Just about to start my little winter project and want to remove the exhaust and hollow out the catalytic converter to get some more sound. Not looking really for performance upgrades, just a bit more noise. I have the o2 sensor delete and PAIR deleted so the cat really isn't doing anything for the bike performance wise as far as I understand. But if I take the exhaust off to give it a full polish might as well gut the cat. Is it a honeycomb style cat? Can I just drill it out/ram a rod up there to clear it? Will I even gain any sound? Just curious on anyone's thoughts
I do not have emission testing where I am at and it's not a concern at all so, please don't give that suggestion lol.
Otherwise, all I have for getting ready for this spring is new tires and oil change.

Or, if anyone is selling an aftermarket exhaust, this guy is interested.  Wink

Thanks, as always!

Is anyone still doing ECU flashes?
I do if anyone is looking send me a email i got set ups for 13 14 and 17 model bikes 17 will be ignition and limiters only i dont have a fuel map for a 17 they use a different unit of measurument for the fuel cells that dont translate from the 13 and 14 map
1973cb750 does a flash that really wakes the motor up... he did mine last summer and it is everything it was before with a little more get-up-and-go... I got my O2 bypass a couple days ago and my Delkevic is hopefully getting ordered next week... along with opening up the flow I think a Delkevic system is like 20-25 lbs lighter than stock Smile

Looking forward to springtime!
