Dani Pedrosa made an interesting comment the other day. He said in the heat the Honda loses some of it's horsepower and makes it easier to ride. It was stinking hot in Malaysia yesterday for qualifying and Pedro's got pole. Coincidence?

I hope you're right. But it may not help at the start before the engines get hot.
here's what he said
Pedrosa experimented with a number of changes made by his team based on information gained during the pre-season tests at Sepang and revealed that " the hotter temperatures are having a calming effect on the RCV engine".
I would imagine that Dani is referring to the warmer air temperatures rather than the engine itself running hotter. I think all riders would experience slightly reduced power since the warm air is less dense that cool air.

Aviation has a saying: High, Hot and Humid. All 3 reduce air density and Malaysia certainly has 2 of those factors.
