For some reason, that pic reminded me of the place you took Cheryl and me last time we were down there. <shrug>

HE'S BAAAACK! My riding buddy JNOR that is. (Read 1st post in thread to understand)

Got back in to it innocently enough. He was helping a buddy pick up a car that his buddy bought and noticed a motorcycle front wheel in the garage. Asked the guy what kind of bike he had. Guys says Yamaha, want to buy it? Jnor walked over to look at it. It was a 2002? Yamaha FZ-1, with light damage from a low side. How much? $100.00. Yea I want it! LOL. Figured his wife who didn't want him to ride anymore was going to give him holy he**, but figured if he did have to sell it, he could at least make some coin. She did give him some grief, quite a bit for awhile, but eventually gave in so he gets to keep it.

So he bought it, took it home, fired right up, ran fine. Replaced the damaged stuff with parts off ebay for a few hundred bucks and he was back in the motorcycle riding business. I gave him some of his own gear back that he had given me when he quit..couple of jackets, some gloves, a tail pack. He had not gotten rid of his helmet yet., and picked up some riding pants on ADV rider cheap.

So today we met for lunch so he could show it to me.

we took a little ride after lunch

He texted me after he got home and said he forgot how much fun riding a motorcycle was.

Not holding my breath that this will last, but for now HE'S BAAAACK!" lol

That sounds like a good news story for you friend. Bike looks good!
It's always good to have a riding buddy!!
Good for you. Hope you both stay healthy and ride as long as the gasoline lasts.
My riding buddy since ‘71 moved to the coast a while back forcing me to learn to ride alone or with others.
No problem. I like seafood and it’s only 185 miles if I meander a bit.
Jnor lives about 160 miles from me, so we dont get to ride together except on planned trips. We have met in SE Ohio before for a few hours but it sure made for a long day for both of us lok
