Later I’ll post the text of the letter Mrs EmptySea has sent to forum members setting out the advice we should give you. Tongue

She wanted to know if any of us know of a good divorce lawyer.....

You guys crack me up.
You know, this story gives your signature line (if you can't go home ...) an entire new meaning.

Other than this, here is the paragraph where I have to say "I learned from this" !!!!!!!!!

Cheryl arrived and gave me "the look" and, no, not the look of a person happy to see her husband is alive and relatively unharmed. It was more of the "what were you thinking?" look. She would never admit this, but I think that one of the reasons that she doesn't worry about my safety when I go riding alone is because she can trust that I will make prudent decisions when I'm out there. On the rare occasion that I make a bad choice AND she finds out about that bad choice, it erodes some of that trust away to reveal the worry it was encasing. And so, I got "the look".

So, thanks for sharing !

The soft inside that is protected with trust is, "The boys can't be trusted with their toys". My spouse would definitely peel things back to the soft inside, ... after the healing - of course. Undecided
A couple of updates:

It appears that my Cardo device was the impact point on my helmet. There is not a scratch to be found on my Shoei and the Cardo unit is missing. I could have swore I saw the device on my helmet after the crash, but it’s nowhere to be found. It’s possible that the impact point was the hinge for the face shield. The shield came dislodged so it’s possible that the shield knocked the Cardo unit out if its mount.

Also, I cannot find anything wrong with my bike other than the instrument cluster being bent upward, the left mirror torqued inward a bit, and a slight scrape on the left RLET. I pushed the cluster back into place (or close to it) and I’ll readjust the mirror tomorrow. Then I just need to test ride it to see what’s what. I credit the RLET for minimizing the damage.

Lastly, I shared this thread with a friend of mine, Fran, who is an avid and expert rider. He enjoyed the report and really enjoyed the forum members’ comments. He asked me to pass on his kind regards.

Hey Fran Hello

Miraculous. That is really good news combined with your minor soreness from the impact. Banana

Go back and look for your cardo. it's probably laying there. My brother lost his going down the freeway, and no we couldn't find it, but there are replacement parts available from Cardo, you don't have to buy a whole new unit. Revzilla even carries the parts I think.
Yap Big Grin
Better a Cardo lost than you having a Cardiac arrest.
