Yep. Cheap. That's me.
Worth every penny, Cormanus. Worth every penny. Wink
I was not on my motorcycle for this meal, but it was directly due to this forum that I ate it.

I am currently in Brookhaven, MS on my way to New Orleans tomorrow to set up my daughter in her apartment in advance of her starting law school there next week. We wanted to stop in Memphis for some BBQ, but I was not sure which place to try. Thanks to this forum, I know someone (memphismike) from that town and he recommended Central BBQ. I had the pulled pork. My daughter had the brisket. Both were awesome. Also, Mike didn't tell us that it was right across the street from the hotel where Martin Luther King was assassinated so we took a few minutes to check that out as well. Thanks Mike for the recommendation. Thanks Guth for creating this wonderful community.

PS... Memphis, while probably not tops as a riding area, certainly is an interesting motorcycle destination, especially if you're interested in history or music or BBQ. In fact, I have a preliminary plan for my riding group's 2018 trip that I'm currently calling "The American Music Heritage Ride" which will include a stop here, then south to Clarksdake, MS and eventually returning to Chicago via Nashville. The cool part might be the food more than the music--BBQ, Soul, Cajun,Country. Anyhow, go to Memphis. Have some BBQ.
Sounds a good idea. Pity it's so far away.
You need to get a green card and move here Cormanus. Think of all the good food and riding and CB forum members you could ride with. Heck you're retired, your daughter lives in London. Planes go from here to London too ya know.
Daughter and three sons in Aus would be mightily relieved to see the back of me!
My... 5 kids huh? Long winters there?
