OK, who has done the rim tape bling bling thing on their CB1100? I put some on mine, the jury is still out. A buddy of mine ordered it for me he said it was 3M brand. Don't know if it is reflective or not must wait til dark to find out.

I did! I think it looks very nice. Subtle little detail that brings a lot to the table.

I'm a wee bit biased.

Nice look! Very tasteful and works well with the red tank and the silver side panels.

Did you notice what else I had done? My buddy was painting a Corvette black today. I had talked to him about painting my engine case Honda letters black. He said today would be a good day to do it.
So I gotz black Corvette paint on a Honda.





His business is rebuilding and painting Corvettes. He keeps very busy.

Hey Ole, is that the comet fairing with the higher windscreen? How's that working for you? I'd like to invest in the comet but don't know whether to go with the standard screen or extended. (I'm 6' 3")

Ole: looks great. I put those on a gsxr1000 a few years ago wow I can say this. They were very hard for me to keep them straight while putting them on. If I did stripes now I would take the wheel off the bike. Also I'm confused what that is on your engine gaurd! One pic looks like a highway peg but the other I can't tell what it is?!

Ole - also curious what's on your guards. You bike looks great.

I did wheel tape but decided it was too much with all the other red on my bike.

Ridem - I kept going off track and redoing small sections. It was a pain.

I like the black lettering, not a fan of the red tape. Just my opinion though.

I put rim tape on two bikes, and it just didn't hold up. After a few months it started lifting at the edges, fading and looking like...tape. A nice painted stripe though...that would be sweet.

I have a set on my old FZ1 that I sold my brother that's still hanging on tight for at least 5 or 6 years. Wonder if the environment has anything to do with how long they last?
