I had hoped to ride this at a rally one day, but sadly that just isn't going to happen for me. I am offering the bike up here first, complete with all accessories and parts. If nobody on the forum purchases in the next 30-45 days, I would then be open to selling some of the accessories to forum members and will list the bike elsewhere in a more "stock" state after selling any parts and accessories. Those items I would sell apart from the bike at that time would be the comet fairing, OEM luggage rack, OEM chrome engine guards, Russel Day-Long seat, official service manual, Honda U-lock, completed OEM toolkit, Vizi-Tec SupaBrake-3 brake light modulator.

Current mileage is 7475. I have the clear title in hand. Bike is located in Salt Lake City, UT. I am the second owner, purchased from former forum member Clayfoot, with 910 miles in November of 2021. It looks as clean now as it did then. He purchased it new from Honda of Chattanooga in June of 2020. According to Clayfoot, it was one of the last new 2017 EX's available and he spent a considerable amount of time trying to find one by calling dealers all over the US.

New Pirelli Angel GT tires replaced the original Dunlops last year. The pictures show the Dunlops just before the tires were replaced, but the bike's aesthetic condition looks exactly the same as now, save for putting the Chic fairing and RDL seat back on. The factory battery was replaced with a MightyMax LiFePO4 battery in September 2023. It should last roughly ten years. You should never need a trickle charger, even after sitting all winter, but if you choose to do so make sure it is 12v LiFePO4 compatible. The bike has been meticulously maintained, mechanically and aesthetically. Service was performed at time and/or mileage intervals whether needed or not. Often service was done much more frequently just out of boredom and in the interest of keeping the bike pristine. Detailed printed service records are available with sale. The only thing that isn't perfect on this bike is the front brake squeal. That is a design issue though and affects pretty much every 2017 EX (except for rdprdp01's, apparently).

All original manuals (owners, riding tips, warranty) come with the bike as well as both factory Honda keys as well as the original Honda keytag code (needed to make a replacement key). Also included is an unused OEM Honda 12v Under-seat Accessory Socket which I didn't install, but instead chose to carry the Honda U-Lock (only one or the other fits under the seat). I never rode in anything but dry weather and only fed it ethanol-free gas save for 2-3 fill ups where it wasn't available. It has always been parked in a garage under a cover (Bilt Dust cover, fits perfectly, included). The bike has a Warm & Safe coaxial battery harness lead installed to run heated gear which also doubles as a battery tender lead (not really necessary with the LiFePO4 battery). I made my own tank grips/protectors from some 3M transparent silicone sheets. They are easily peeled off and will not leave any glue residue behind if you don't like them. I also added a few pieces to the RDL seat to keep me from moving around too much. They will come off without damage or residue on the RDL as well. All the original bolts and bits are labeled in plastic bags if you wish to remove the Chic fairing or luggage rack and return the bike to stock. However, you would also need to remove the Grip Puppies and the RLET's. Heaven help you if you decide to do the latter.

Hi all,

I officially have too much Givi luggage and am letting this one go - I have a duplicate and while I originally thought they'd make nice side cases, they are pretty big, and this is better suited as a top box.

It's an E45 Monokey box. Long discontinued, and in Givi's older style that looks like a vintage hard black suitcase, rather than their more modern boxes that have fake taillights, silver trim and such frippery. The box fits the look of a modern classic like the CB1100, which is why I love it.

Since these are very hard to find these days, when I got this one, it was perfectly usable, but my OCD called for a full refurbishment. It's been repainted in a matte black, and the red pinstripes have been replaced with fresh reflective red. There is a subtle band of black reflective tape around the middle section of the box that you can see in the pictures. This reflects white when it's hit with light at night for great visibility. it's a 45-liter box, easily holds a full-face helmet and is very roomy.

The Givi "made in Italy" logo is shined up and looks great. It's clean inside and the lock works smoothly. What looks like a horizontal emblem on the front is my toll road transponder, which I'll remove.

I'd love a local California sale, but I can ship it. Since it's a basic style, it's not too heavy.

$75 for the locals here on the forum, and I can get a shipping quote if someone wants to find out.

Free to good home: mufflers removed from my CB1100. They mount with only the front collars. The aft bracket does not attach to the CB1100. They are short and light enough that this works fine. There is some discoloring, and the left one is dented on the bottom where the center stand contacted it. They are pretty loud. You'll need new bolts and nuts, as the ones I removed are very rusty. You pay for USPS ground shipping. PM me if interested.

Hi guys, selling my 2017 EX even though I thought I never would. Almost through restoring my DLX and going to go down to just one bike. It is immaculate shape with only 6375 miles on it. Garage kept with lots of extras. It has an OEM luggage rack. Crash bars. National Cycle Street Shield EX. Red Reservoir covers. (Have OEM ones too) I have Honda OEM electric grips new in box. Too hot in south Texas to install, but they aint cheap! Radiator cover with CB1100 on it. And of course it has RLETs installed. Comes with a Battery Tender Jr. and is wired to keep battery charged while not riding. I put new tires on it at 5695 miles. Both Bridgestone's. Front, a speed rated T-32F 110/80 ZR18. The rear a BT45R 140/70-18. I installed a new 'Parts Unlimited Battery at 5393 miles. Just put fresh Motul 4T-7100 Fully Synthetic 10W-50 oil and new Honda oil filter at 6375 miles.
I am going to flush the brakes and clutch this week, if I do not sell it first and use Motul Fluid. I also installed heavier bar end weights, as if it needed them, but have originals still.
All Forum members know what a great bike this is, no need to brag. I have been a member since 2019 and have conversed with many of you. I am asking $9800 on Craigslist and soon Cycle trader, but any Forum members can buy it for $9200. It looks new! Rides like new!
Just to mention, the bike has about $1500 in addons, counting the NIB Heated grips!
