Dunlop Roadsmart 3?
#1

Hi All,

I've decided to keep my CB! it was for sale and but the summer is here I miss it, so, I'm just putting it back to the spec I had it in.

Looking at the tyres, it's time for a change. I'm still running the original D205's and they've squared off. Had 8000 miles off them and I was never very happy with the wet performance.

I've seen all the great reports about the PR3's and I was all set to get a pair, but I've seen the new Dunlop Roadsmart 3's have just come out in Europe. They make the correct sizes too.

Has anyone tried these on the CB yet? I thought that they looked like they could be a good match. I'm in the UK and rain is a regular feature, so wet grip is equally, if not more important than dry.

Thanks

Kev

Hi Kev,

Don't know about the Roadsmarts, but have you checked the Bridgestone T30? It's a great all-rounder tyre and also just became available in Europe in the right size. I wrote about it here: http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=8408
Wet and cold grip is excellent. Good luck with the choice!

Those Roadsmart 3 tires are really nice looking and availability in the stock sizes is an added bonus. Sadly a quick glance would seem to indicate that they are not available here in the States.

I can't help with the tyres, beardywierdy, but I like the idea of having tyres that are the correct size for the bike. I'm also pleased to hear you're keeping the CB.

Where in London are you?

Thanks for the link Alphonsus, they look good. My local Tire place in London doesn't show the right sizes on line for the T30's but as you say hey are so new they may not have it updated yet. I'll give them a bell in the morn. Either way I'd prefer the correct size so either or it is.... Which ever i Get I'm sure they'll be good and a vast improvement on my squared of D205's ;-)

Cormanus, I'm in South London, Lovely, Leafy.... Wet, West Dulwich.
