Discontinued OEM parts / extras

Hello everyone,

I have been wanting to add a few extras to my 2014 CB1100EX and to my -bad- suprise they were all discontinued:heated hand grips, 12V socket, as well as any aftermarket exhaust appart from this one from Over Racing: https://www.webike.es/products/21793577.html

I am aware those questions may have been already but since quite a time has passed and the items proposed are no longer available, I was wondering if any of you can confirm what exactly are the incompatibilities, for example, between the heated grips or exhaust of the 2017 CB1100EX and the 2014 CB1100EX.

In other words, for two bike that are practically the same appart from tank, silencer and some esthetical parts, is it really impossible to retrofit the new exhaust? (I do not see the same dilema here than between the 1 exhaust 2013 and 2 exhausts 2014 models).

Part numbers do vary and as per the pieces provider's opinion, they are therefore not compatible. However, from a scale savings and engineering logic standpoint, I really wonder I this is true.

There were a LOT of different brands and types of exhausts made for this bike globally.

I would be very surprised if there weren't quite a few who can still make one for you.

You may need to reach out to the manufacturers directly...or search on Ebay for a good used unit (change search settings to worldwide)

You never know until you check...
A moto friend was looking for a cam pulser for his 1976 VT1100 due to intermittent no spark/start
He couldn't find it anywhere, all sold out, and as a result he bought a used one from ebay...
I called a friend at Honda and within 30 min he found a brand new OEM one at another Honda dealer 250 miles north. A brand new cam pulser had been sitting on the dealer's shelf for over 40 years, price including shipping was $100.
Already replaced and firing every time executed...

Thank you for your answers. @PowerDubs I did check on samurider and it had the same only available option (from Over Racing).

I guess I will have to try @peterbaron , a shame that this model did not sell a lot in Spain and spare parts are also difficult to find
