A long shot I know, but if you see or hear about a 2009 or 2010 Buell XB12SS (Lightning Long) for sale let me know. I've been looking on Search tempest and Cycle trader.
Thanks

Fun bike. Sooo tempted to add a Buell.
If you find one on the south east coast let me know if I can help. Delivery could be arranged!

Ashem, you look on KSL classifieds? Saw several Buell's on there for sale today.

I have an XB12R and I can tell you they are a total hoot. Probably the best handling bike I have ever owned and I have had many. Mods REALLY wake up the engine. The "Buelltooth" adapter is the best thing ever. You can check systems, get diagnostic codes, load custom fuel maps all via your Android phone. The Micron complete exhaust system is the best one, and it sounds amazing. With the tune mine has, it is supposed to be making about 90lbs of torque (though I have never had it on a dyno). Coming from a ZX12R, my butt dyno tells me it is pretty close. Anyway, it's a very, very fun machine and they can be had for bargain prices too. Unfortunately, the position on the XB12R is kicking my ass from many stupid thing I did in my youth. Wish I had gone for the SS. If any of you younger, more limber folks want an XB12R, let me know.

LSL makes a high bar hit for the 12R and Knight design makes a 1-2" lowering peg that would relax the 12R riding position. I have a Special Ops pipe and JT&S custom map on my 07 Stt and my rear wheel HP is 99.

I have the lowering pegs, which are awesome but my wrists (both broken in a pedal bike accident), do not do so well. Maybe I will try a set of high bars. I love the bike, it's so much fun to ride. Definitely a 180 degree shift from the smoothness and refinement of the CB. Would love to get mine on a dyno someday and see what it makes. I have never intentionally wheelied a bike, but I have pulled more unintentional wheelies on that Buell than every other bike I have ever owned put together, and that includes some pretty powerful bikes.
