I have known about this bike for over 6 years. I lost track of the owner over the years but still looked at the pictures I took of it so long ago from time to time.
My wife met up with him and they got talking. Long story short I have closed a deal on a new used bike.
Now this being a CB1100 Forum this bike is TOTALLY at the opposite end of that spectrum. It is a 1950 Indian Papoose.
I have been searching online for a possible parts supplier and there is no such thing. Joined a group 6 years ago when I researched it then and well that group is all but dead now. Just not enough interest in them I guess.
I will throw a Hail Mary and see if any one out there has parts for these. I do not have the bike in front of me but from the pictures I took 6 cars ago I will need a Headlight Bezel or Trim and a license plate mount. Plus a few other small parts to complete the bike.
Let me know if any one in this group could help. LOL!

I believe those were actually British-made Welbikes. I'll bet may of the parts you need are identical.

I am sitting here on the ship with 43 days left till I get home. Excited to get my hands on this one but I have a few projects ahead of it.
I have slowly searched the internet looking for info and parts suppliers. Not much at all out there. Stichill... I have seen the places you have recommended but for the FaceBook Page. I will need to message them and see but they are dedicated to the Welbike that shares some parts with mine.
Well the plan is to get it running first and see from there. hanks for those that have sent links to places. I will take all the help I can.

Whatever the journey, ensure to get a video of the engine resurrection! (e.g. Before #3, Before #2, Before #1, Ignition & Start! ... Running #1). Some good anticipation.
Love it when owners bring bikes back from the dead.

These little folding 'bikes were made to be dropped from aircraft in containers, for use by paratroops in WW2.
They were marketed on the civilian market by Corgi and Excelsior, so maybe search those as well?

I guess the paths/roads would have to be reasonably ride-able (e.g. not muddy, large potholes, etc.) for these to be effective during WWII?
I imagine the bikes would save the soldier's legs for when they were really needed.

I think if someone's shooting at you, you wouldn't care less about how rideable the terrain is, you'd just MAKE it work!!
They're a wonderfully simple design, with minimal materials (think wartime economy) - so good that there was, and still is, a market for them. The Honda is far more elegant and nicely built, but it's not as small, neat, lightweight and as foldable as the original. You've got me wanting one now!!
