I'd say that this video pretty much proves that it is, in fact, the bike, not the rider. At least at this level of bike, anyway.

I’m fairly impressed with how well this heavy and relatively underpowered bike did in the hands of this rider.

Very enjoyable...attitude, gotta love it.
My favorite line, at the 10:00 minute mark: "...but the point I'm trying to make is that I rode to Lydden Hill in complete comfort, no bag on my back because all of my crap was in these boxes..."

I know guys that can ride the beegeebers out of anything with two wheels. They are just born that way.
