Is this dent normal? (right after headers and before the cat)

I noticed there is a large dent right after the exhaust manifold and before the cat (viewed from the left side of bike). Check out the pic. Can someone confirm if this is normal?

Pheww!! Thanks! Was a bit concerned earlier. Then I thought, perhaps this will give me a reason to get aftermarket headers.

Funny, I had the same concern a while back. I had entered my driveway, which is steep to begin with, at an odd angle and faster than I should have. My suspension bottomed out and I heard a loud, THUNK. When I got the bike into the garage, I took a look underneath and saw exactly what you've posted. I took a photo, posted it on the forum and was reassured that it's normal. Just like you have been. Fear not and ride on!

Or, in an abundance of caution, get that aftermarket system you've been drooling over.

I like your word of advice. Just installed the Arrow slip today, so naturally my next step will probably be the Arrow headers.
