So So I went to the Easy Riders Bike show today...
#1
In Nashville Tn. One of my good buddies is a chopper/custom guy and he likes to go every year so I rode down with him. This stuff is just not my cup of tea but it was a way to kill a day and ride. Out of hundreds and hundreds of bikes that rode in I was one of probably the 5 Hondas that were there and the only standard. Big Grin

If I ever see another big front wheeled bagger it will be too soon. I so dislike those things. Saw lots of cool old restored and original HDs, Triumphs, INdians, and even a pristine 1975 Honda CB360.

The vast majority of the stuff there is not rideable which makes it worthless to me. Never seen so many suicide shifts in the same building in my life. They must be making a come back. I am dieing fast enough as it is and dont need anymore help. ROFL

Had a good day overall and it was very crowded. The HD crew was out in masses. Metric guys not so much. Temp was good but the wind blew like crazy.

Oh, also my friend pointed out to me a 60s sportster to me where the brake was on the left and the gearshift was on the right. I never heard of this because it was before my time but man that would really mess a guy up today.

I'm pretty much with you on every point. Not my cup of tea either, but here in TN it WAS a nice day to ride.
I didn't get to because I had to pull the 3-11 shift for a friend. Sunday is supposed to be a repeat of today. Hooo Aaaah!
I would love to have seen the CB360. Love those vintage Honda twins.
WAAAAY back in the day, for a couple of months I had the "pleasure" of riding an HD-badged, small cc four stroke single (the same time I owned a 1975 CB750SS.It was rather cool tooling around on it. IIRC, it was only a four-speed. I would wind it up in first and second to about 30mph, then get to 4th and put-put around. The engine would just lope like an HD single should. :-)
That bike had the shifter on the left and rear brake on the right. I really had to concentrate when approaching a stop sign or red light. It was kinda un-nerving for a bit but I got used to it.
Yea, those were the days

Small Harley 4 stroke single? Had to be an italian made Aermacchi badged Harly Davidson either a 250 or 350cc Sprint, as Harley didn't make anything smaller than the 883 XL if you are talking in the 60s or 70 s. The smaller Aermacchi badged Harleys 50 cc, 65cc, and 125cc were two strokes.

My first street bike was a 50cc Aermacchi called the M50 but imported and badged a Harley Davidson.

This strikes me as a perfect place for some pretty entertaining photos. Did you take any? If so, post them up!
