I get better mileage than most for some reason, but I could go 180 on my 13 with gas left in the tank, and I've gone 225 ish my 14 dlx with 1/2 gallon left

Stichill, my average on a 2011 5-speed 14.6 litre tank is 5.34 litres / 100 kms or 44.24 miles / US gallon.

I usually tell people that I can go 150 miles on the 3.9 gallon tank (5 speed), but I bet I could squeeze closer to 170 out of the tank if I had to. 150 miles is a good time to empty my other "tank" so I stop then or sooner (if I had tea before starting out)

I stop every 2 hours, cannot ride or drive longer without a break. I usually fill up around 125 which is 2.9 or 3 gallons for my '13. I'm a big guy and quite a windload too, this is normal everyday mixed conditions riding. I have gotten 50mpg on a total freeway ride.

I'd really like to test how far I can go before the engine sputters its last gasp, but I'm concerned about how big of a problem it is to re-prime the EFI after running it dry.
My '13 standard has the smaller tank, so I can go approx 145 miles before the fuel gauge starts to blink that I need gas soon. My average MPG is around 48, but I've gotten as high as 52mpg on our Rocky Mtn. "premium" 91 octane. Bought one of those MSR backpacker fuel canisters for emergency fuel on road trips. Hope I never need to use it.

My average on a 2013 5-speed 14.6 litre tank is 4.8 litres / 100 kms over 11.000km,
mostly driving smooth, not pushing hard! This kind of riding provides the most fun for me.
Although the outside temperature wasn't that good.
It all depends on your throttle hand.

This is not too different than my CBR250R; I average 66 mpg. On long trips, the fuel gauge starts flashing the last bar around 185 miles unless I am chasing big bikes on the highway near wide-open throttle. Then I need fuel at 150 miles. Fill-ups usually take 2.6 gallons, so with my 3.4 gallon tank I have 0.8 gallon left until dry or about 50 miles.

The best I've done so far is 180 miles (6-speed, 3.9 gallons). Did it once and was pretty sure I was going to run out of gas. 160 miles seems to be the usual limit of my range.
