Dont know why the flap of flesh below a turkeys beak would be your national sysmbol, but regardless we are happy to have you riding CB1100s and members of the forum

Happy Australia Day to all our members down under!!! And since we're talking turkey.... sort of. Today in 1784 Ben Franklins daughter received a letter from him complaining about the selection of the bald eagle as the US national symbol and not the native turkey he was championing. Bet some of our vets are happy that didn't happen. 101st Airborne Screaming Turkeys just doesn't sound awe inspiring.

Happy Australia Day from another part of the commonwealth.
I was in Sydney for Australia Day two years ago and had a great time Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I bought an Australian flag (and a boomerang of course) and brought them home, but I didn't really know what the stars on the flag meant until I did some research - and now I do.

Thank you, chaps. Much appreciated—even though I'm not there at the moment!

Ferret, you should google Australian wattle. Very pretty it is.

Sorta like "Turkey Day", without the turkeys. A barbecue and a few frosties, an innings of beach or backyard cricket and back to work next day.

Cheers
