CB1100-Better than a MV Agusta Brutale 1090

Letter to editor in this months Motorcyclist from Attila Gyarmati of Hungary via the US now.

" I fulfilled a totally different yearning and recently bought an MV Augusta Brutale 1090. This bike however did not satisfy me....I came to the conclusion it had to go.....in 2013 Honda came out with the CB1100.... I just had to buy it, and since then I am in motorcycling heaven."

I haven't ridden the MV but on the surface this comparison seems like apples and oranges. Or as they say in the UK, "chalk and cheese." As long as we all get to ride what we like, it's all good!

I'm almost insulted by reply from Motorcyclist's editor. As if it's inconceivable that a motorcycle with inferior specs on paper cannot be more satisfying to ride. I agree with our Hungarian friend, owning the CB is "motorcycling heaven"

Glad you posted this up, Mr. Ferret,...I also read this letter to editor(s) and, not finding a way to link up the letter for us to view,... since the current issue of mag is not online at the time...I let it "slide"...I wondered if the Mr. Attila was a participant on this website(?)...and, based upon his letter to the mag...I, for one, would be quite interested in his postings... how about "ferreting" out on the WWW to see if an invitation could be sent to this gentleman?... Also... immediately, I could not repress smiling at his name/country: Attila, the Hun(garian)...PLUS...for his letter... the mag "awarded" to him their swag of $200 SIDI boots for his story... nice surprise for him!

Interesting comparison. Aside from the CB not having to sit in the shop for 3 months at a time at least twice a year, I wouldn't really assume that it could best it in many regards (hey, the CB is awesome, but MV's are full-on rolling art).
