Do you remember your first CB1100 ride? Mine was today. Bought the bike on the 23rd of December, it was delivered to me on December 28th, and took the first ride on it today the 29th.
First impressions are: Ultra smooth engine and transmission and really light and quick on the steering for the size bike it is.
Man is it a pretty bike! It's a perfect 10. Thank you Honda for making this bike!

Nice! That was my first reaction too, and it's still my reaction each time I hop on the bike. After mt first ride, I nicknamed mine the "Velvet Locomotive."

Congrats, feelings we all expressed after our first rides.
Mine was March 29, 2013 I picked up my new 2013, and rode it over to "My Road" where I take all my first rides. It was warm enough for a leather jacket, jeans and gym shoes, sunny and dry. I remember marveling at the same things that amazed you.

Indeed I do. My wife drove me half an hour to catch a train. I walked to the bike shop from the station after a further hour on the train. Put on my helmet and went for a test ride—the bike had done just over 2,000 kms. Went back to the shop and said I wanted it. They let me ride it to the bank to get a bank cheque for them and then I rode it home. Marvellous it was. Here it is at the first fuel stop.

Yep I remember my 1st ride almost as good as sex.

At my age I ride more than I have sex.

So let me get this straight, you rode the bike to the bank to get the check to pay for the bike? I like everything about that story.

That's how it happened. Great dealer, eh? Or maybe it's just my trustworthy face.

This is pure truth!
Congrats on the new bike, Letsjet! Remember the first ride home as well. It was from a dealer about 100 miles away and it was a cold April day. I was worried about break in on a new motor so I was speeding up and slowing down on the highway to vary engine speeds. People must have thought that guy on the Honda was crazy!

Yes I do, a 2013 CB1100 rental for a day trip in Germany in 2014. So memorable for many reasons: 1) I was a relatively new rider with about 18 months under my belt 2) it was my first ride in Europe 3) the CB1100 was the heaviest and most powerful bike I'd ridden up to that point and 4) I loved everything about the CB1100.
