2021 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650
#1
Back in August/2024, my friend Rick & I went down to Elkhart, Indiana to test drive Royal Enfield bikes. We had ridden older models and weren’t fans, but thought “hey, lets go down and ride some bikes, and they had lunch”.
We both came away impressed, very impressed. The 650’s looked to be well designed & engineered. Smooth torquey power and we liked the classic styling.
A month later Rick finds a 2022 in Jackson, Michigan with only 250 miles. He ended up buying it.
Another month passed and we found another in East Lansing. Two owners, 108 miles…. hmmm.
We hooked up the trailer and negotiated a price and haul it home. First owner bought to exhibit, second owner found out she was expecting soon after buying the bike.
The bike was stored in an open barn. The mice, squirrels and birds did their thing. Took me a couple of washings to make my way through some of the mess. Air filter was home sweet home for a family of mice, couple of hoses were nibbled on, and there was a walnut carefully stored on the swingarm.

Will post a photo once I figure how?

There are at least two current owners (Gone in 60 and Wisedrum) of RE 650 bikes, and I owned one as well for a year. Very reasonable price for a fun bike. And parts do not break the bank. If you haven't found the RE forum:

Love my '21 Interceptor 650. She just rolled 6000 miles, and is due for her second valve check, which is screw adjuster, and takes minimal effort.

Parts are cheap and plentiful from Ebay, and there are a myriad of cheap accessories as well, such as seats, exhausts, windscreens, crash bars, etc. I have found that parts from India come quickly and extremely well packed.

So far, the only mechanical fault mine has had is a broken speedometer cable, which is about $50. I found that it was stretched too tightly between the sensor on the front wheel and the bracket on the fork. A quick check if you look at yours, and if it's tight, you can loosen and adjust the bracket.

Enjoy your Enfields!
You know what? I actually would like a pickle.
