Just some observation, I notice riders who stop riding when they age, their health will deteriorate faster than a rider who keep riding. And if a rider have some health problem and stop riding, the health issue will also deteriorate faster. But I believe there's a limits on what constitute a safe riding and what condition are consider dangerous to rider as well as others on the road. Would really like to hear some opinion from rider here.
The reason i brought this up is that I am a SVT (abnormal high heart rate) sufferer. And recent months the condition happen so frequent and severe I thought of selling off my bikes and stop riding. But as addictive as riding goes, I still can't let go of my bike. If there's other SVT sufferer here as well, would appreciate you could share some thoughts.
Been in and out of hospital and there's currently no conclusive prognosis.

zirconxi, I'm sure your doctors will tell you whether you are safe to operate machinery such as motor vehicles. If they say you are, keep riding as long as you want or until they tell you otherwise. If not, well, I guess the risk you run is suffering an attack which causes you to lose control and injure someone else. I think that might be hard to live with.

I'm sorry to hear of your health condition but I think you have already answered the question by your message.
These more frequent episodes certainly put you at risk as well as others.
It's heart breaking but I think the time has come to stop riding unless things improve to a large degree.

wish I could help. What happens when your heart beat speeds up? Get dizzy? Lose consciousness? Get nervous? Feels like a panic attack?

Well, my doctor did't actually advice me to stop riding even after i told her i rode to work everyday, but she did advice against doing extreme sports, which i presume she is telling me don't ride fast. For my case if the heart speed pass 180 bpm my blood pressure will go below 80/50 and start to develop short fainting and black out and difficulties in breathing. And yes, its feel exactly like panic attack. Sometimes fear and tear will chip in. Currently i still ride to work everyday depends on my morning routine checks. So far (touch wood) i have never have an attacked during riding. I did have a few attack right after long ride (6-8 hours). But all happen after the ride, which made me thinking maybe riding a motorcycle is slowing the attack... Anyway, thanks all for the advice... i think i will ride on, the world look too sad thru car windows......

Reminds when I was a pup I used to get nose bleeds in the late summer. However, never did I ever bleed inside the motorcycle helmet ... it was, when it happened, minutes after I unmounted and took off the helmet.
Be careful Z.
