Thank you pekingduck. I needed a moral boost today.
Oh the clips brought back memories! I even had one of those polo style helmets for passengers. It nice to know I own one the “Big” Hondas, a 305cc Superhawk!

Haha! I love the video!! Did you notice the valet parking attendant's smile as he rode her motorcycle away at the 2:29 mark? I'm pretty sure that was the last day he was at that job.
And that voice at minute 5:35...straight out of Dragnet.... THIS is the Honda 50!

This is really great footage. I especially like the San Francisco city scenes. Reminds me of my time growing up there, when everything was in B&W.

Great ads! I enjoyed watching the Jay's Garage video that played after it too with the Honda Cub and original Honda 50.

They were great. I love how '60s hats stayed on at 45 mph.

It was a great period in history, when the sun always shined and it was always warm. You could just do everything you wanted to on your Honda!
No, it's really fun to see the way they sold the dream of personal mobility and independence back then. We tend to forget that most families in those days only had one car. Not like today's families where everyone over 16 has their own car.

That was a great video, for some reason an early 70s CB100 really appeals to me.

Oh what a difference a decade makes. Surely some of you guys have seen this one before.
For a man's ride, HONDA!
It would seem that the older head of advertising eventually won out over the overly enthusiastic, gung-ho junior executives. You can hear his choice of music kicking in at around 40 seconds into the video, lol. In many ways this video seems far more distant from the realities of today than the older commercials.

Steve McQueen was so cool. I'll bet he thought that CR 250 weighed nothing compared to the Triumph and Matchless Metisse 4 stroke twins he normally rode. Gotta say though Wanted Dead Or Alive is a horrible western lol.
