I could have sworn that I saw a reference to this documentary about the late Jessi Combs, but several searches yielded no results. If there is a thread, please combine this post with it or delete this post entirely.
Two words: Watch This.
It has little to do with motorcycling directly, although there are references to Babes Ride Out and the Sturgis Rally and her involvement in both. Recently, I posted a report that mentioned “Motor Maids” and their commitment to women riders. This documentary is a bit of variation on that theme inasmuch as it points out the courage and commitment of those women who choose to wor and or compete in what are often considered men’s activities and occupations.
I was particularly struck by an early scene in which Jessi’s mother watches her daughter strap herself into a rocket on 4 wheels for the first time.
Watch this with your wife, daughter, and/or granddaughter (assuming she’s at least 13 years old).
