I found a link to this study pointing to the benefits of ABS for motorcycles in the ADVRider newsletter and thought it might be of interest,

tod.branko, I know you’ll enjoy the statistical work.
Edit: Link should work now.

I get an error message as well.
But then again, every bike I've owned with ABS eventually showed an ABS error message too, so...

Delete the "." at the end of the link. Then it'll work.

I was looking forward to all the charts and numbers but no, link didn't open for me
I tried Rboe's recipe and deleted the period at the end bit that didn't help either. So sad

It should be fine now, tod.branko. Try [url=https://www.iihs.org/api/datastoredocument/bibliography/2236]this link.

Thank you. Point taken, I'm putting my bike up for sale and getting an ABS model

Nah ... I don't have ABS, although I probably would have, had it had been available.

I was specifically waiting for a non-ABS model to show up in the market to pick it up. I kinda know myself and with that in mind I believe the knowledge of not having any lifeguards keeps me in check on the road and puts me well within "moderate rider" bracket (*self devised scale, completely non scientific) otherwise I'd behave like a menace. I've only even owned a few motorcycles with ABS and other rider aids, interestingly none of them were ever a Honda and I've had 7 different ones - nor Japanese now that I think about it, they were only ever European motorcycles, Triumph, MV Agusta, Moto Guzzi
