Fuel 91 RON
#1
The owners manual of my 2011 cb says "91 ron or higher"

So my understanding is that you dont get any benefit from a higher octane fuel...

I refer to this guy, who is great....

From my experience, higher ron engine run cooler and give less vibration. Power and fuel consumption wise no different.

Why use a higher octane rating than Honda recommends?

Well, in Malaysia, we only have 3 rating available, Ron 95, Ron97 and Ron100. Tried 3 of them, Ron97 and Ron100 not much different other than the price. But between Ron95 and Ron97 theres a significant difference in vibration and and engine heat. Especially on high mileage engine where vibration is significant.

In Poland we have Ron 95 and Ron98. No difference. I am using cheaper Ron95 and it is OK.
