'Sorry to hear about your spill - Unfortunately I can relate, but 0n a CB750.
After investigating, if parts piecing becomes ridiculous, I have a CB1100 practically New Old Stock available (For Sale) and then you could recover selling parts.

Yeah, def better the bike than me. I would steer clear of bikebandit.com. They will take your order and it will be weeks with no shipment or order update status.I have had very good luck with Partzilla, and their prices are reasonable. Will check them out, adding them to my list. Appreciate the help! (05-05-2021, 04:46 AM)Gone in 60_imp Wrote: Sorry to hear about your spill! Nice! I never even heard of Partzilla before and that's getting the most rec's. Appreciate it, luckily the bike took most of the damage. If you post year and model, and the parts you need, maybe some forum members have what you need. And what is broken on the speedometer? That's a very expensive part. That's a good note, appreciate the help! I actually got work done recently and couldn't find a honda dealer nearby so had a local shop work on it. So I'll reach out to them to see what they can do for pricing. Thanks again! Ah, another good call. It's a 2013 CB1100. The whole speedo broke off and disintegrated pretty much. There is nothing salvageable on it. (05-05-2021, 06:55 AM)Cormanus_imp Wrote: Sorry to hear about your spill, NickyV. It’s good you’re OK. Thank you! All good, luckily no broken bones, just a chest contusion and was extremely sore for a few days. Getting better each day but made it out well. Yeah, I'm going to get a list together of everything I can see and see what I will land at.

After buying all the parts to restore the DLX, I used PartsFish. A little slow on some due to Honda being slow, but really nice people to call and work with. Ask for Martin.

Here is an update on my current parts list that I'll have to replace. The biggest ones are the instrument cluster and the headlight. I'm ok with going aftermarket, moreso with the headlight as I would like a bit of an upgrade on that. Any recommendations on speedometer? Seems like going OEM would be roughly $1200.
Other than those, here is the below.. -Rear Swingarm adjuster -Foot steps -Left Crankcase Cover -Handlebar/levers -Turn Signals -Mirrors Overall, not too bad and maybe a good time to make some small changes that I've been looking at. Biggest question comes into the speedo. When looking online, when sites say they are compatible. What should I look out for? I imagine they aren't necessarily plug-n-play, but that's just an assumption. Again, appreciate all the help from everyone! |
