I see you are a recent member, already 60+ posts, and you want a nearly free old new CB1100 - That is not the mindset of most helpful members here. That is the norm for RV forums not here. As you will hopefully realize and get to know - this is the best forum on the web - bar none. Everyone tries to help every other member when they can. Frankly, I believe i am also doing so by offering my CB1100 here first & only for now. Not looking to dump it. Instead finding a great owner that can appreciate the art a CB1100 is!

Thanks

It is difficult to sell a CB 1100 on this Forum , most people have one and the ones looking for a CB 1100 are probably NOT on this Forum . I would strongly advise to use Cycle Trader and good luck with selling your nice bike !

Thanks. This is what i was talking about in my previous post. On that note, a member has contacted me and I am willing to wait for him so that it goes to a great home vs just anyone.

FWIW, I happen to be a somewhat longtime forum member here who is not yet a CB1100 owner. I have been in contact with rbike and one or two others. I have also been scouring Cycle trader for quite a long time.

Here is what I am finding:

- The bikes offered by members of this forum seem to be priced on the higher side, BUT also seem to be in much better condition than what you typically find on C.T. or Craig's List. Fewer wacky mods, no drag bars or loud pipes or weird paint jobs. Closer to stock which is what I want. The $5500-$6000 CBs I'm finding on C.T. are nothing like what I'm looking for. They seem to be owned by people who don't really appreciate the bike for it's innate characteristics.

I, personally, am not looking for the least-cost route. You get what you pay for. I am willing to pay a fair price for a really nice bike in really great condition because, for me, it's an investment.

I realize it shouldn't matter from a business perspective, but I too was very concerned about finding a buyer who could appreciate the excellence of my almost like new condition CB1100. After being contacted by a potential buyer who had already owned multiple CBs (smaller ones like Nighthawks), I held it for her for a week.

It was a good decision. She was rock solid on the transaction. But even better is what she did with my 6,200-mile 2014 standard garage queen. Within the first month plus, she put over 3,000 miles on it, and she's still going, riding the machine like it was meant to be ridden. I could not have put my CB in better hands. I don't know why that matters to me, but it does.
