Our local Honda dealer is having a 25% off day and I was thinking about picking up the new Hero+ Silver for $225 after discount. For those who have this camera, which mount do you feel is the most useful for motorcycle videos? Or any other hints you may have for the GoPro.

Helmet mounted or the suction cup accessory mount works the best. The handlebar mount produces far too much vibration. There are several mounting locations for the suction cup so you have to play around to find the spot you like best.

I don't know that I would trust the suction cup with a $225.00 camera. That just scares me a little.

After experimenting with a few different mounting options including the handle bar mount and the helmet mount, I've come to prefer the chest mount harness (I believe GoPro calls it the "Chesty"). I like the point of view that it provides as it allows me to see some of the bike in the video. If that is not of importance to you, then the helmet mount works out just fine.

To me the best mount has been the way Rueben on yourtube with his weekly rides, mounted his inside his helmet. No wind noise, and great to hear the comentary.

You could add a small tether if you don't trust it. It's amazingly secure and has the most robust joints of any of the mounts I've used for my GoPro. The suction cup is easily my favorite mount.

I prefer watching the videos taken with the camera mounted to the left side of the helmet like this one, if thats any help. I also don't like watching videos with head banger music accompaniment, but that is a personal thing.

There is a world of difference between the helmet view I posted and the helmet view you posted.
