Absolutely a beautiful motorcycle you lucky dog.

After a couple hundred miles, we will see what shes got. Another thing I realized as I was riding today, 6 th gear on the roads I was on is certainly not necessary. I was running two lane curvy back roads between 45 and 60 and using primarily 4 th and 5 th. I have a feeling the 6 th will come into it's own once I hit the freeway, but for the roads I was riding ( and typically ride) I only got into 6 th just to see what it was like, and then it was pop it right back into 5 th. The gear position indicator was really nice though knowing I didn't have to or want to shift up anymore, and at times I would say to myself 3 rd for this curve coming up and just watch the indicator for 2 clicks down and was rewarded with the right gear every time. Never found myself in a gear too low or gear too high.

I'll be damned if that bike doesn't look perfect to me. Beautiful in every way. As is your joy, Ferret. Good on you. Safe journey.

I love your observations and impressions here. Exactly the kind of stuff my mind goes to, and the kind of things I wonder about. Thanks for capturing these and sharing.

You're a lucky man, Ferret. But you've been very patient so you deserve to be rewarded. Thanks for taking time to tell us about it. Enjoy.

Congrats, Ferret! You look like quite the proud papa in that 1st pic.
Thanks for all the pics of your day. I really like the new instrument panel. It looks quite readable in sunlight. All I can see on my '13 on a sunny day is a reflection of my helmet. In order to make my self feel better about not having a new '14 I ordered about $1200 worth of farkles instead. Installed the new H&B rack yesterday and Takashi will be sending me a big box in a couple of weeks. Between your pics and ride4now's, it looks like the extra capacity in the tank came from pushing out the knee dents significantly. Is it taller as well?
