I was planning a ride either north or south from Brisbane this month but again the weather had put an end to that. Here is a map of road closures in red showing the number of closures at each location.

It's been dreadful here. I share your pain Tezza, although I haven't been able to ride due to other commitments.

Just for the sake of interest, what weather conditions are causing the road closures?

Agreed.
Seems almost evenly distributed.
Is it possible to ride around the closed roads?

Believe it has been raining big time due to a tropical moist airflow which covered the area tezza indicated.
Australia is very flat and big so it takes time for all this water to get away, they'll tell you more i think.
We had a very pleasant summer here in NZ with very sporadic rain, just enough to keep the grass going for the animals.

Wish we could take some of that wet from our friends in Australia and share some of our dry with them.
