I think I may have dented my exhaust this afternoon when I entered my driveway slightly too fast and at too much off of angle and bottomed out. I heard and felt a solid bang. Once up on the center stand, I looked underneath and there's a decent sized indentation just off to the left of center. The problem is I don't know what it looked like before. I'll try to find some pictures online but if it's not too much trouble, can one of you with a stock exhaust take a photo of the exhaust along the bottom of the bike (left side, center)? I doubt it will have any effect on performance but I hate the thought of having any part of the bike banged up. Is this a sign that I should get a full aftermarket exhaust besides my second thoughts?
Edit: I know what you're thinking: "Hey Einstein, why don't you take a picture of this so called dent and post it and have us look at our bike instead of asking us to take photos and post them?" And that would be a good point. So, here's what I've got:

For orientation, the bolt is the oil drain bolt and the front of the bike is to the left. Thanks in advance!

You have to look at what's missing from the indentation.....scratches. There are none present so I highly doubt that you did any damage to the exhaust. If you had actually bottomed out the exhaust you would know it for sure.

Thanks Randy. That definitely crossed my mind too. It's hard to explain exactly how it happened but with a quick compression and extension of the suspension as I entered the driveway at an angle, I thought (think) it's possible given the force with which some part of my bike made contact with the ground.

No need to worry MG, my exhaust looks just like yours and I can guarantee it's never bottomed out....ride on

I just went down in the basement and checked mine out. It looks exactly the same as yours. Well sorta. Mine is covered in crud.

I resolve to *try* and stay off un paved surfaces in 2015.

Yeah, lack of shiny scratches says you didn't hit the driveway apron. The bang you felt IMO, was the suspension suddenly reaching its limit.

Every once in a while I come across these videos of young guys, usually with impressive beards and wearing flannel, racing their café, bobber, tracker through dirt fields, over sand, standing up on the seats. All the while laughing and having a grand ole' time. Throw in a camp fire and close up of content dirty faces, play some obscure upbeat folk music in the background, and that's pretty much how these videos tend to go. I'm not ashamed to say I actually find them amusing and fantasize what it would be like to get a bunch of my buddies together and experience all of that. But then, who's going to clean my bike afterwards?! What if I drop it?!!! And, most importantly, I can't get my facial hair to grow that well! I guess I'll stick to paved surfaces too.

I bet you're right Classic. Thanksgiving must have been really good to me. Bad to my suspension but good to me. I really should lose some weight. But not yet.

Django, you're amazing. Haha. I watched the whole thing, of course. Might have started humming along towards the end.
