I called Huntington Beach Honda and they had none. Didn't check with San Diego. I believe I also called South Bay and got the same answer. Anyhow, it's a done deal. I get to break it in on the same day I buy it, lol.

Excellent, congratulations. My story is similar. Fed-X'd gear to Honda East in Toledo a week earlier, flew up on a Thursday, picked up the kids DLX for him, rode it to Knoxville via the slab on Friday (had the 500 mile service done at 487 miles), then early to rise and head southeast to the Dragon followed by secondary roads (old 441 mostly) through Georgia on Saturday, back home to central Florida on Sunday. Riding position great, seat comfy, no vibration, great little road trip. Enjoy your new CB!!!

Motogeezer1949 is a learned and respected contributor to the forum, and he's ridden lots of miles on his son's DLX, so I'm sure he can speak authoritatively about the 2014 seat. However, and with the utmost respect, I don't know that he can cay anything authoritative at all about the 2013 model seat. It's pretty near in design to the seat on my 2011 Australian model which is clearly designed for short rides to the corner and back. It becomes seriously uncomfortable after about an hour. At least, that's my experience. I'll be interested in your view after the ride home.

You may well be right, Ferret. It's pretty thin on padding and, for me at least, not at all comfortable after an hour.

I just think my posterior has been toughened up by putting 70k miles on a Moto Guzzi and 40k or so on an Aprilia Tuono. I love the v-twin vibe. I have 70k on my '01 FZ-1. But I've got a Corbin on that it looks like I'll be springing for the CHIC Sport Trunk Seat for Erics bike, which doesn't look like it has much padding, so I'll let you all know how that works. I'll be keeping the stock seat handy for my mountain trips
